Counselling in Bethnal Green, London

I  offer counselling and psychotherapy sessions in Bethnal Green, London, Wednesday to Friday. My counselling room is 5 minutes from Bethnal Green Tube Station, next door to York Hall and there’s a cafe in the basement of the building.

I often work with people from the creative professions, as well as academics, over-stressed thinkers and those who feel out of their depth. They are seeking a sense of equilibrium, connection to their own sense of what’s best and ultimately to find the best way forward.

Sometimes these counselling clients have gone through, or are going through, a difficult period of transition, which might be to do with the stage of life that they have moved into,  some painful event such as illness, redundancy, or any of the other changes that can happen to all of us (to read more about life transitions, please see my recent blog post).

If you are interested in setting up an initial phone chat, to discuss whether we could work well together, please fill in the form on my ‘Arrange Counselling’ page.

* Sometimes people prefer a hybrid model of working together and this is possible of course (as is working completely through virtual sessions). We can discuss this prior to starting counselling, or shift to this way of working if it seems appropriate.

A Note on Inclusion and Respect

This work is about you. I aim to offer a space where you feel safe, seen, and able to be fully yourself, whoever you are, whatever your background, identity, or history. In line with the Equality Act 2010 and the professional codes I follow, I welcome clients of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, faiths, and neurotypes, including those whose lives have been shaped by marginalisation or exclusion.

I keep questioning my own blind spots, my place in the culture, and how these might show up in our work. I’m committed to listening, learning, and being accountable, through reading, training, supervision, and hearing directly from clients like you when something feels off.

This is your space. If anything doesn’t sit right with you, I want to know.
